The 40 year old TÉKA Ensemble has released its 27th recording! Their new record entitled “Ritka Magyar I” reaches directly back to the roots of Hungarian folk music, demonstrating its lasting value in the face the world music trend. With this record the members of the band pay tribute to their roots and the music of the village musicians who have been their masters “…a tree without roots will definitely die.”

Csík Band is now the stuff of legend and the legend continues. Their 25th anniversary concert at Budapest’s Syma Hall on December 30th, 2015 was a historical event in Hungarian music. This DVD makes it possible to see and hear the entire concert!
